READY?
LET 'S
RIDE!
HEY, YOU'RE ALREADY
A MEMBER!
Skagit County is rapidly growing. We believe this growth should include safe and accessible travel for cyclists and pedestrians.
We believe Skagit Valley has the potential to enhance pedestrians and cyclists with their daily commute and connect them to the beautiful surroundings of Skagit County. Our goals are to establish and nurture bicycle culture, safety, advocacy, and add facilities that heighten bicycle usage.
We want to hear from you!

OUR GOALS
Facilities
Advocacy
Ideas include pump track, skills park, bike parking, and public bike repair stations
Culture
We host all-ages rides, pop-up repair tents and bike valet at public events, and plan to host bicycle repair and safe riding classes
Safety
Establish safe east-west and north-south bike routes through Skagit County with the potential for eventual designated bike lanes
Collaborate with local and regional groups to connect Burlington to Rails to Trails in Sedro Woolley, and other established trail systems in Skagit Valley
WHAT WE DO

COMMUNITY BIKE RIDES
Tulip rides, toast bar rides, rides to the local taco truck, rides along the Skagit River, rides to show how to get from point A to point B without a car, and rides to meet local people in the community after an eclectic potluck dinner. If you have a crazy idea for the next ride, let's do it!

LADIES MOUNTAIN BIKE RIDE
Come mountain bike with Certified Ride Leader, Cristina Ashcraft. Our community ride is geared towards intermediate to advanced riders who want to learn the Little Mountain trail system in Mount Vernon, make connections with other riders, and get fit!

BICYCLE VALET SERVICE
Ride your bike to an event, and we will watch it for you. If you need a quick mechanical adjustment, no problem! One of our mechanics at the event can look at it while you are off having a great time.

MOUNTAIN BIKE SKILLS COURSE
SLOW BICYCLE
RACE
Have a squeaky brake? Are your gears a bit crunchy? Ride your bike to one of our events and one of our volunteer bicycle mechanics can fix it for you!
Ride our skills course that consists of wood features and cones to improve your balance and riding skills without the worry of busy streets and oncoming traffic. We provide bikes, helmets, and knowledgeable bike-riding tips to kids and parents alike!
Experience our slow bicycle race where the slowest person wins the prize for once! A great way to connect kids and parents to improve their balance and riding skills with a little friendly family competition mixed in.

BICYCLE DONATIONS
If you have bicycles that you would like to donate, we will tune them up and match them with someone who is looking for a bicycle. We work with other bicycle advocates in the community to keep bikes out of landfills and ridden by those who need one.

BICYCLE SAFETY AND ADVOCACY
We work with city, county, and state leaders to advocate for projects that connect communities across Skagit County through safe streets, trails, and pathways for pedestrians and bicyclists.
